Kicking Off Hispanic Heritage Month: Finances Con Corazón
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to honor our history, celebrate our culture, and reflect on the values that have carried our Latino community forward for generations. It’s also an opportunity to think about the legacy we are building for the future—not only through traditions, language, and family, but also through the way we approach our finances.
For me, true wealth has never been just about money. It’s about peace of mind, strong family relationships, and the dignity that comes with knowing we’re leaving something meaningful for those who come after us. That’s the heart behind Finances Con Corazón, my motto.
Why This Matters for Our Community
Too often, financial advice is delivered through numbers, charts, and jargon that don’t connect with the lived realities of Latino families. Our relationship with money is deeply tied to sacrifice: parents working long hours to provide opportunities for their children, abuelitos who saved quietly (and often stored their money under a mattress) so their families could feel secure, and countless stories of resilience in the face of challenge.
That’s why the work I do is so personal. Financial clarity is not about “having more.” It’s about breaking cycles of struggle, protecting what we’ve worked so hard for, and creating something lasting for our children and grandchildren.
Living With Intention
Building wealth with corazón means being intentional. It means asking yourself what truly matters—your family, your health, your faith, your future — and making financial decisions that honor those priorities.
When you shift your mindset in this way, wealth stops being just about a bank account. It becomes about freedom, about the confidence to live life on your terms, and about ensuring that the next generation doesn’t just inherit our sacrifices, but also our prosperity.
Walking This Path Together
Your financial professional should walk alongside you, step by step. Whether it’s mapping out a plan for your goals, saving for the future, protecting your family, or passing on a legacy, I believe financial dignity is something every family deserves, and especially families in our communities.
When you approach money con corazón, everything changes. And Hispanic Heritage Month is the perfect reminder that our culture, values, and traditions are not separate from our financial lives—they are the foundation of them.
